On
Tuesday, September 23, Officer Brandon Williamson from the Fulton Police
Department came to speak to our K-3rd Grade students. He spoke about
what his job is and what he does on the job, but the students were more
interested in his furry friend that came with him to the school. This animal is
a rescue dog for the police department. His name is Bear and he has assisted
Officer Williamson on many jobs. The students loved hearing about all the
rescue stories and all the students were able to pet Bear. The students were
sad to hear that Bear will soon be retiring and will no longer be a part of the
police department. Tuesday will always be remembered by the teachers and
students. Who knows, one day we may even have one of our own students become a
police officer. |
